My name is Ryan currently 34 years old and originally come from the United States. I am a very friendly and easygoing individual who absolutely loves to boost the confidence in my students when it comes to speaking English. I know how to make my students comfortable and i can also speak Indonesian which helps especially with my basic students. So, let's have some fun. In addition to teaching, i can also assist you with any translations from Indonesian to English just like I did for Bank Saudara. Private, regular, and group classes available.

Great Presentation in English - Future Midwifes

Just when I thought being involved in English education could not be more fun, i had the opportunity to go to Purwakarta in order to assess the speaking ability of about 100 soon to be midwives. It was such an interesting and amazing experience because on that particular day, I listened to many presentations on various health topics associated with pregnancy. Of course all the presentations were in English. I has such a fantastic time that I decided to take a bunch of photos to document the experience.

Corporate Training at Bank Saudara

Classes at Bank Saudara are going extremely well. The students are taking Business English which focuses on English in the corporate world. They are being taught how to handle cultural differences, make presentations, and various vocabulary and expression associated with the business environment just to name a few. Earlier today, they gave a final presentation in which they did extremely well.

Mojang Jajaka Grand Final 2013

 Once again I was selected and invited to be a judge for the Mojang Jajaka Competition. This is always such a special occasion for me because I truly get an opportunity to discover all of the beauty which West Java has to offer as far an culture is concerned. All of the finalist were so intelligent, polite, and leaders in their communities. This year was very different from last year in that each and every city and district throughout the West Java province sent a male and female representative to the finals. There were 54 finalists altogether, 27 men and 27 women, all dressed up in traditional clothing encompassing their extremely unique individual cultures. 


Due to the fact that I am an English teacher, my area of contribution to the competition was of course English. So many of the finalists could communicate so effectively in English. This definitely impressed me. I hope the Mojang Jajaka competition forever stays a part of West Java's heritage. In addition to judging the competition, I served as one of the mentors and gave a class on how to be confident when speaking English. I also taught them how to express their opinions in English. The class was very lively. I even threw in a game of Simon Says which of course was a lot of fun. 


As a result of all my efforts, I was given an award at the Grand Final for being one of the favorite teachers. That was such a great honor for me. I did not even expect to get that. When I was called to the stage, I had to hold all of my enthusiasm inside and just simply smile. Now, I kind of wish I had jumped up and down with joy. I sure hope I get invited again next year so that I can learn even more about all of the great traditions of the Sundanese culture. The committee mainly comprised of former Mojang Jajaka finalists really did an outstanding job organizing the competition and a variety of events. They really took their jobs and duties quite seriously and all of their efforts sure paid off just fine.

Conversation

The conversation course at CIACI VIP ENGLISH is specifically designed to improve our students’ speaking ability. This course is highly interactive in that students have an opportunity to share their ideas, opinions, and thoughts with the other students around them. Elements of western culture are also discussed in order to make students more aware and able to communicate appropriately in English.

General English

The General English course is mainly geared towards those that wish to improve their overall knowledge of the English language. The skills learned here are listening, reading, writing, and some speaking. Students are taught various aspects of grammar and usage. The tenses are heavily discussed and reading comprehension developed. Students also gain an assortment of English vocabulary. General English is often a requirement before students are allowed to study conversation.

Business English

The Business English course is mainly designed for either professionals or those desiring to enter the workforce. This course is highly communicative and interactive. Students undergo various simulations that connect to the world of business. Vocabulary learned is also very specific to business. Elements of business culture in the west are also taught and discussed throughout the entire course. Students have opportunities to make presentations, conduct case studies, write business emails, and more.

TOEFL Preparation

The TOEFL Preparation course is one that is very focused and intense. TOEFL stands for test of English as a foreign language. This course prepares students to undergo the vigors of the TOEFL examination. Skills such as reading, writing,speaking, and listening are taught. In addition to the previous skills mentioned, grammar and usage are also concentrated on. 

SAT Preparation

The SAT Preparation course is designed to meet the needs of those who wish to apply for admission to colleges and universities who require SAT scores. SAT scores are excellent for showing universities and colleges students’ academic abilities mainly in language and math. CIACI VIP ENGLISH only offers the language side of the preparation.

Young Learners

The Young Learners course is designed to meet the needs of kids. Classes are very fun and educational at the same time. Lessons are very communicative in that students will learn how to communicate even before they can read. The Young Learners course is an excellent way for parents to improve their children’s English ability. Lots of vocabulary are implemented into the lessons.

Mojang Jajaka Jawa Barat 2012

I had the opportunity to be one of the judges for the MOKA 2012 competition. I found it quite amazing how rich the Sundanese culture is and how proud the representatives of each city and district within West Java were. When Ms. Ida contacted me and invited me to join this event as a mentor and judge, I was so excited as to be part of such an extraordinary occasion. The only thing was that my name was spelled wrong in the newspapers. Instead of putting Ryan Anthony Abraham, they put Ryan Anton Ambraham. I happened to be the only judge that had his name spelled incorrectly, so you can imagine how I felt upon discovering such a terrible thing. I hope I will have another opportunity to be a judge in the future.
